Maritime transport is a way of using ships to transport goods between ports in different countries and regions through maritime channels. It is the most important mode of transport in international trade. More than 2/3 of the total volume of international trade and 90% of the total volume of China's import and export cargo are transported by sea: there are two main modes of maritime transport, namely liner transport and chartering transport.
Land transportation logistics and transportation technology mainly includes transportation facilities and transportation operations. The former belongs to the hard technology of transportation and the latter belongs to the soft technology of transportation. The hard technology of transportation mainly includes the improvement of transportation infrastructure, such as roads, railways, sea transportation, transport vehicles, etc., while the soft technology of transportation includes management methods, logistics technology, logistics personnel literacy, etc.
Handle consignment. After the foreign trade companies and industrial and trade enterprises have prepared the goods and received the letter of credit which has been verified (or modified) to be correct, they can handle the consignment, that is, according to the letter of credit and the relevant shipping terms in the contract, as well as the name, number of pieces, date of shipment, destination, etc. of the goods, fill in the "consignment note" and provide the relevant documents, and send it to the foreign transport company as the basis for booking flights.
The shipper shall fill in the domestic cargo consignment form and handle the consignment formalities with the freight department or its agent with his resident identity card or other valid identity documents. If the freight department or its agent requires the shipper to issue a letter of introduction or other valid certificates, the shipper shall also provide them.
